Henan D.R.Construction Group Steel Structure successfully completed the capping of the main steel structure for Section B of the Samsung SDIEM Complex Plant 2 project in Malaysia
On June 15, the main steel structure of Section B of the Samsung SDIEM Complex Plant 2 project in Malaysia, undertaken by our company, was successfully capped.
This project is the first overseas steel structure production and installation project undertaken by our company. Located in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, it is a new energy battery plant built by Samsung SDI Malaysia Energy Co., Ltd., covering an area of 20,943 square meters. It is an industrial steel structure plant with three floors above ground. The project cost is 99.192 million yuan, of which the total steel structure production amounts to about 5,900 tons and the total installation is about 8,500 tons.
At the beginning of the project construction, the steel components produced domestically arrived in Malaysia and faced problems with cumbersome CIDB inspection procedures and difficult customs clearance, which led to delays in the transportation of components to the site. Our company's Samsung Malaysia Project Department continued to study relevant overseas laws and regulations, streamline processes, improve customs clearance efficiency, and reduce customs clearance costs. During the project construction, the project department overcame numerous challenges and fulfilled the contract on schedule, despite the tight project timeline, strict management requirements from Samsung, lack of local resources, and low labor efficiency. This success was fully affirmed by Samsung and China Construction Second Engineering Bureau.
The successful capping of the main steel structure of Section B of the Samsung SDIEM Complex Plant 2 project in Malaysia has provided valuable experience for our company in undertaking overseas steel structure production and installation projects. In the next phase, our company will actively explore and implement strategies to improve customs clearance efficiency, enhance overseas project construction capabilities, and control overseas project costs.
